Genuine farmhouse with local products and food from wine to cured meats to fried gnocco.
Homemade pasta, cappelletti in broth and tortelli and tagliatelle seasoned with various sauces.
Various types of sliced meats. fillet, ribs. Florentine steaks, lamb chops.
Highly recommended.
Dinner with husband. Starter cooked shoulder with giardiniera for me and good, my husband fried mushrooms but greasy. In my opinion, the Piedmontese fassona cut was very good even though I had asked for it to be rare but it wasn't, husband was shin but he wasn't satisfied. Sweet millefeuille taken by husband and did not satisfy him. I was quite happy as the meat was very tender. Average for me
I haven't been back to Favo for several years... how much goodness I've missed!
I wanted to try a baked pork shank with fried mushrooms: a real delight!
Meat cooked just right enough to melt in your mouth.
Then, at the end, the sweet brick or, better, what in dialect is called "mignin". Again, absolute enjoyment.
I certainly won't wait that long to come back here to calmly taste one specialty at a time....
Restaurant that combines quality with traditional Reggio Emilia dishes. A place with a warm flavor that recalls the trattorias of the past. Dinner with cured meats and fried gnocco and fillet with porcini mushrooms. Those who took the cappelletti liked it so much that they also liked the green tortelli. Advised
I participated in one of the evenings dedicated to "the flavors of the past". Excellent cuisine, friendly and helpful staff. Small place that certainly takes care of service and quality. Advised!
